Chiropractic
Doctors of Chiropractic are spine, muscle, joint and nervous system experts. We are trained in how to evaluate, diagnose, recommend and deliver a treatment plan that is specific to your condition and your preferences. As chiropractors we specialize in locating spinal bones which are stuck out of position or which have abnormal motion. This may result in stretching, rubbing or chafing a nerve, which feels like a “pinched nerve”. These “Subluxations” can interfere with nerve messages between the brain and the body, producing unhealthy changes to affect muscles, joints and possibly organs.
Manual Adjustments
The Chiropractor uses their hands to apply a controlled force to the joint and guide it through a range of motion which will restore it’s natural movement and improve function.
We remove this interference by using spinal manipulations called “adjustments”. We are able to normalize nervous system function so that your body can heal itself. In this way we treat the cause of your trouble and not just your symptoms.
Muscle Percussion Instrument
This tool is one of the most common instruments used for Myofascial Manipulation. The Muscle Blaster was developed to assist the body to heal through skilled massage techniques and self healing mechanisms.
ART - Active Release Therapy
A soft tissue method that focuses on relieving tissue tension by removing adhesions which can develop in muscle and tissue as a result of overload due to repetitive use or trauma.
Activator
This small hand held spring loaded instrument delivers a controlled impulse to the spine. The aim is to produce enough force to move a joint back to it’s normal alignment. It can also be used on small joints of the wrists and feet.
Cupping (Silicone cups)
This is one of the oldest types of therapy and it dates back to ancient Chinese, Egyptian and Middle Eastern cultures. It helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow and relaxation.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture therapy is a medical procedure that requires insertion of a thin acupuncture needle into subcutaneous tissue or muscle tissue. After the insertion, the needle will stay for a period of 20-25 minutes, sometimes electric stimulation will also be used, during this time, surrounding nerves, fascia, lymphatic vessel, blood vessel and muscle fibers are stimulated by the acupuncture needle to create a systemic change. Acupuncture therapy is capable of treating pain, stress, digestive disorder and hormonal disorders.
Naturopathic Medicine

It is best described as an umbrella term that encompasses effective natural treatments. The best combination of therapies is chosen, and a treatment plan is customized according to your main health concerns and targeted to the root cause.
Treatment programs consist of an in-depth history intake, possible **lab test screening, diet & lifestyle counseling, food/environmental sensitivity testing, possible professional grade naturopathic products, and follow up visits to monitor your progress.
* BIE allergy assessment and supportive treatment
** Lab screening tests include: digestive function; mineral & vitamin levels, adrenal (stress) hormone function; female & male hormonal levels; and standard Lifelabs testing - as and when indicated.
Bioenergetic Intolerance Elimination (BIE)
What Is BIE?
Bioenergetic Intolerance Elimination - founded in 1998 - is a simple, natural new approach that enables one’s body to recognize sensitivities or intolerances (aka stressors), assisting in recovery from associated allergy-like symptoms, without the use of needles or drugs.
Does BIE Address Conditions Other Than Intolerances And Sensitivities?
Because BIE reprograms a cell’s response to its environment, BIE’s application is far-reaching. Hormonal imbalances such as hot flashes, PMS; sugar metabolism – hypoglycemia/diabetes; fat metabolism, thyroid imbalances are just a few issues which can be approached with BIE. In addition, our clinic will issue lab requisitions for various testing including standard blood cell counts, triglycerides, fasting blood sugar, thyroid hormones, hormonal saliva panels, etc. when necessary to accurately assess the patient’s health.
How Do I Know If I Have An Allergy Or Sensitivity?
It is often quite difficult to know if the symptoms you are experiencing are allergic reactions. There is a long list of symptoms that can be a result of eating a food, exposure to pollen, or a chemical. The list goes beyond itchy eyes, scratch throat, runny nose, stomach cramps, itchy skin etc.
Does My Health Insurance Cover This?
Because you are under the care of a Naturopathic Physician your plan should cover the cost provided you have Naturopathic Medical coverage.
