Over the past 10 years, I’ve noticed a common condition that affects nearly everyone at some point—myofascial pain.
Unlike typical muscle soreness, which is usually temporary, localized, and caused by overuse or strain, myofascial pain is chronic and persistent. It often doesn’t improve with rest and is described as a deep, aching, or throbbing pain. A key feature of myofascial pain is referral pain—discomfort that radiates to other parts of the body away from the original trigger point.
In my experience, many people gradually develop Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS) due to various causes such as past muscle injuries, repetitive movements, or prolonged poor posture.
So, what can be done to relieve myofascial pain?
Acupuncture is one of the most effective treatments for this condition. As a trained practitioner, I assess the affected muscles and fascia to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Here’s what sets my practice apart if you suspect you’re experiencing Myofascial Pain Syndrome:
- Longer sessions that allow for a thorough assessment and comprehensive treatment.
- A variety of treatment tools to ensure comfort and minimize any discomfort during the session.
- Training in multiple acupuncture techniques, enabling me to choose the most appropriate method for your specific condition.
If you’re curious or have questions about your symptoms, I offer a 15-minute complimentary consultation to discuss your health concerns and explain how acupuncture can help.
